Pedagogy
Curiosity and creativity - I use a variety of teaching methods to help students explore music and enjoy the process of learning. I encourage students to try new things, work to discover strengths, and embrace challenges.
Practicality - Feedback and demonstration are core to my teaching. I work with the student to find a balance of consolidation and extension within lessons. I provide a supportive space for musical development.
Adaptability - Students respond to different teaching styles. I aim to adapt my teaching to individual student's needs. I introduce different strategies and repertoire to deepen skills and experience. This helps students improve their playing and encourages a positive ongoing connection to music.
