Anna Harrison - Violinist

Anna Harrison is an Australian violinist currently based in Canberra, ACT, Australia. In 2021 she was awarded a Masters of Music in performance and music psychology with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, UK. She also completed two Bachelor's of Music one with Honours from RNCM and one from the Australian National University.
Anna has volunteered and worked as a therapeutic play musician through LIME Music for Health now Songbirds Music UK at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH). The far-reaching effects of music have captivated her attention for many years. Being able to work musically at the RMCH has ignited a passion to create inclusive and engaging musical experiences for everyone.
Before moving to the UK, Anna studied at the Australian National University (ANU). She began there on a performance scholarship as a pre-tertiary student in 2010. She graduated with a BMus in Performance and Musicianship in 2019. While at the ANU, she was privileged to be mentored in composition by renowned composer Larry Sitsky.

Anna has been teaching violin students since 2012, conducting with Music for Canberra since 2023 and regularly volunteers with the music department at Orana Steiner School.
