Individual Lessons (one-to-one)

Group Lessons (only available in private practice)*

*only available if there are 2 or more students wishing to undertake this type of lesson

Scheduling and Punctuality

In private practice, lessons are scheduled at mutually agreed times between student/student guardian and teacher.
Lessons during school hours at Orana School are scheduled at mutually agreed times between violin and class teacher.
If a student is late, time will be taken out of the lesson.
If the teacher is late, all the allotted time will be offered.

Discontinuation of Lessons

14 days notice or payment in lieu of notice must be given prior to discontinuation of lessons. Refunds will be provided for unused lessons if appropriate notice is given.
Please send notice before the beginning of a new term if you do not intend to continue lessons.
Lessons will not be continued if payment is in arrears.

Fee Policy

Payment for lessons is on a per term basis.
Fees are payable by Bank Transfer/Direct Deposit or Cash.
Invoices for each term will be sent via email by week one of that academic term.
Payment is due within 14 days. Due dates are specified on the invoice.
Please use the student’s full name as the reference in Bank Transfer payments.

Missed Lessons or Cancellations

Refunds or rescheduled lessons will not be given for unexplained missed lessons.
In the event of student illness, the student will be entitled to a make-up lesson or crediting to next term’s account provided the teacher has been notified via phone, email or text by 8am of the morning of that lesson.
If a scheduled lesson cannot be made for the week, at least 24 hours notice must be given by phone, email, text or in person otherwise the fee for the lesson will be forfeited.
If sufficient notice is given then a make-up lesson can be arranged, or credited to next term’s account.
Any lessons I miss or which are missed due to public holidays or pupil free days will either be credited to the next term’s account or made up subsequently with a make-up lesson.
